Eleanor Ivey

The two friends Rebecca and Eleanor aged 15 and 16 at the time of the contest won the national contest in the United Kingdom and went on to winning the regional semi-finals in Sorø, Denmark in their category, the Pioneers. After this, they participated in the finals in Belgium last summer.

She is a student at Hockerill Anglo-European College, but is not yet sure, in which direction the future will lead her regarding education though she has a great interest in Space and science.

They won the semi-finals with the project Team MissionRed2030, which demonstrated their take on how the humankind should travel to Mars and eventually live there.

The judges especially acknowledged that Rebecca and Eleanor made a very fine presentation and displayed an impressive concept for traveling to Mars and eventually living there. Their presentation of a journey to Mars was both funny and full of insight. The jurors stated, “Team MissionRed2030 had the most artistic submission and most innovative solution”.
